   • Go to Settings > Mi Account > Account security > Recovery phone and tap "Change phone number". Remember to prefix the phone number you enter with a correct country code.
   • Tap "Next" and enter the verification code you receive. Done!

2. Web browser

   • Visit id.mi.com and sign in to your Mi Account. Select "Change" next to your recovery phone. Remember to prefix the phone number you enter with a correct country code.
   • Click "Next" and enter the verification code you receive. Done!

   • If your recovery phone is no longer available, update it first.

   • Your SMS inbox might be full or internal storage on your device insufficient. Free up some space in such cases.
